Level Switches for Liquids

Level Switches are used for control of  liquid operation in a process. These instruments operate in different working principles , namely

  • Magnetic Float / Reed Switch Actuated Level Switch
  • Float / Micro Switch operated Level Switch
  • Cable Float Switch
  • Displacer Operated Level Switch
  • Conductivity Level Switch
  • External Chamber type Spring operated type Magnetic Level Switch

These different types of Level Switches are suggested as per application such as Temperature , Pressure , Liquid

Vertical Mounting Type Magnetic Float Level Switches - VFS

One of the oldest and the most reliable and simple level control solution to almost all liquids. Vertical Float Switches are an established technique of level switching in the industry. These level switches are absolutely custom built as per application , tank dimensions , operating temperature and pressures. These level switches can operate a solenoid valve , pump or just an indication alarm as per your process requirement.

Horizontal Mounting Type Magnetic Float Level Switches- HFS

The HFS Liquid Level Switches are float-actuated devices designed for horizontal mounting in a tank or vessel through threaded or flanged pipe connections. The compact size allows for installation in small vessels, while its many features provide a variety of application uses. The single switch mechanism is available in SPDT or DPDT forms on units designed for fixed or adjustable, narrow or wide differential and interface service levels

Mini Level Switches - MVFS

Ideal for shallow tanks or restricted spaces, or for low-cost, high volume use. Offers broad chemical compatibility for general purpose use. Also ideal for oils and water.
The durable construction of these reed switch designs ensures long, trouble-free service. Because the effects of shock, wear and vibration are minimized, these hermetically sealed switches provide precise repeatability.

Mini Level Switches - MHFS

Our compact side mount level switches are designed for use in small tanks and vessels. Engineered plastic versions offer broad compatibility in water, oils and chemicals. Our stainless steel construction are ideal for use in rugged environments. The all-stainless steel versions are generally recognized as safe with Food Grade applications.

Cable Float Switch - CFS

The cable float level switch offers industrial and municipal users a low-cost solution to wide differential level applications. The moving ballast causes a flipping motion of the float to provide positive switching action even under turbulent conditions. Recommended for use in either clean or dirty liquids, it is ideal for use in sump control, wet well applications and pilot systems.

Conductivity Type Level Switch - CLS

Conductive level switch is an excellent choice for monitoring the level of conductive liquids in tanks. The CLS series conductive level switch senses liquid level by applying a low AC voltage to a set of stainless steel electrodes. When a conductive liquid is present a small current will flow between the electrodes, resulting in switch activation. The conductive level switch is available with 316 stainless steel electrodes standard. This makes it suitable for many chemicals and aggressive media. The solid state design has no moving parts so that it is a sure solution for dirty liquids as well as those with high solids content.

External Chamber Level Switches for Higher Temperatures-MLS

External chamber type level switches are completely self-contained units designed for side mounting to a tank or vessel with threaded, socket weld or flanged pipe connections. These float-actuated controls have proven their reliability in process control for high temperature and high pressure applications.  The two basic designs of External Chamber Level Switches- Flanged external Chamber type- Threaded external Chamber type

Float Valve - FLV

A float valve is used to shut off the flow of liquids, normally water, at a pre-determined level. When adjusted and working properly a float valve is very accurate and extremely reliable. Float valves are found in nearly many industrial applications. The concept of the float valve is very simple, which accounts for its reliability and wide spread use

Displacer Type Level Switch-DLS

The displacer element is suspended on a stainless steel cable attached to a spring. The displacer is always heavier than its equivalent volume of the liquid in which it is to operate, and therefore will always extend the tension spring. Hanging freely in air, the spring extends to a predetermined length, limited by a mechanical stop to prevent overstressing. Attached to the spring is the magnet assembly which is free to move up and down as the spring . extends or contracts As rising liquid submerges the displacer, a buoyant force is created equal to the weight of the displaced liquid volume. This buoyancy force reduces the apparent displacer weight, contracting the spring, and moves the magnet up\yards inside the pressure tube actuating the switch mechanism. This simple principle also operates a single switch over a very wide differential by simply providing the buoyancy force from two displacers instead of a single displacer
