Flapper Assemblies

The flapper assembly is a crucial component of the MLI, providing a clear visual indication of the liquid level
as the float moves. Typically, bi-colour flappers are used, featuring two distinct colours to indicate the liquid
level accurately—one colour for the liquid and another for the vapor space. This design enhances readability
and significantly reduces the potential for errors, ensuring precise and reliable level measurement.

Scales

The scale of an MLI is typically a ‘laser-marked’ ruler attached to the exterior of the indicator, allowing operators

to read the liquid level with high accuracy. These scales are available in both metric units (centimetres, millimetres)

and imperial units (inches, feet), tailored to the user’s preference.
