MLI-Traced Version

SHRIDHAN MLIs are widely used in various industries for accurate

and reliable level measurement of liquids. To enhance their

performance and ensure precise readings under different

environmental conditions, tracing solutions are often employed.

These solutions help maintain the process fluid within the MLIs at

the desired temperature, preventing issues like freezing or viscosity

changes that can affect accuracy. The primary tracing solutions

include steam tracing and electric tracing, each with distinct

features and benefits.

Steam Tracing (ST)

Utilizes steam lines/tubes wrapped around the MLI to transfer heat. It offers uniform heat distribution.

Electric Tracing (ET)

Uses electric heating cables wrapped around the MLI. These can be controlled

precisely using thermostats and sensors and it is suitable for a wide range of temperatures.

Steam Tracing (ST)

Ideal for applications requiring high temperatures, as steam can provide
consistent and reliable heating up to several hundred degrees Celsius.
Cost-Effective in Certain Settings.
Rapid Heating: quickly brings the MLI to the desired temperature, ensuring minimal downtime
and immediate operational readiness.

Electric Tracing (ET)

Precise Temperature Control: allows for exact temperature regulation, which is crucial for maintaining
the integrity of sensitive fluids and ensuring accurate readings.
Versatility: It can be used in various applications, from low to high temperatures, making it
adaptable to different industrial needs.
Ease of Installation and Maintenance: are relatively easy to install and maintain, reducing
downtime and operational costs.
